Spark & Cannon’s highly skilled real-time writers (“reporters”) use a shorthand machine to produce verbatim transcript. Our reporters are experienced in a variety of jurisdictions, as well as private arbitrations and corporate meetings.

Spark & Cannon can provide a real-time transcript which can deliver text within seconds of the spoken word. This service is suitable for live captioning and other rapid transcript requirements.

Turnaround times
Spark & Cannon offers two services: real-time reporting and running transcript.

Real-time reporting is the process whereby the machine shorthand is converted to live scrolling English text which appears on computer screens for viewing. This service requires a high level of on-site technical support. There may also be a requirement to post edit the transcript before finalisation.

Running transcript is a twice-daily delivery of transcript which involves the recording of audio and production of transcript off-site. A broadband Internet connection is required for this service. For more information, please click here.
