Transcriptionist
The primary role of a transcriptionist is to produce an accurate and timely transcript from recorded audio from a variety of different sources.
We look for intelligent, reliable people with excellent grammatical and keyboard skills who are able to work effectively in a team to ensure that an accurate and timely transcript is produced for our clients.
The work requires a high degree of concentration and Spark & Cannon can offer a degree of flexibility with working hours in this challenging and interesting role.

Quality checker
The primary role of a quality checker is to proofread transcript, detecting any grammatical or formatting errors. The quality checker is responsible for finalising and issuing the completed transcript to our clients in accordance with contractual obligations.
We look for intelligent, reliable people who are able to detect grammatical and typographical errors as well as any mishearings to ensure that an accurate and timely transcript is produced for our clients.
The work requires a high degree of concentration and Spark & Cannon can offer a degree of flexibility with working hours in this challenging and interesting role.

Monitor
The primary role of a monitor is to produce a clear, continuous recording and the accurate accompanying notes which are a vital aid in the production of a timely and accurate transcript of proceedings.
A Spark & Cannon monitor works independently in a variety of recording situations requiring poise, discretion and accuracy, and is very much the frontline of the company.
Good personal presentation as well as the ability to communicate professionally across a broad range of clients is an essential part of a monitor’s duties.
